Ballerina Misty Copeland Now Has a Barbie Doll!

Ballerina Misty Copeland now comes in mini form! The American Ballet Theatre star recently announced the launch of her very own Barbie doll on Good Morning America — and PeopleStyle’s Instagram! — Monday morning.

“So excited, I’m taking over @people_style today! Follow me all day to see the launch of my new @Barbie Doll and me prepping for the Met Ball! #youcanbeanything,” she revealed on Instagram.

Copeland has teamed up with Mattel to launch her very own Barbie doll — a miniature version of herself (complete with those badass muscles!) dressed in a bright red leotard and tulle tutu — in honor of the Barbie “You Can Be Anything” campaign.

“I always dreamed of becoming an ABT ballerina and through Barbie I was able to play out those dreams early on,” Copeland said in a statement. “It’s an honor to be able to inspire the next generation of kids with my very own Barbie doll.”

Moments after the reveal, the ballet star shared a sketch of the bright red costume from her first American Ballet Theatre principal role, which was used as inspiration for the doll’s ensemble.

“The inspiration for my new @Barbie doll in my costume from the American Ballet Theater Firebird. – @mistyonpointe,” she said during her Instagram takeover with PeopleStyle.
