Just in time for winter
Why did people have to go and “make things so complicated” with leggings? There are great debates about whether or not leggings qualify as pants. Some remain adamant “lust-inducing” leggings should not be worn in public, while other stars feel very strongly they should be. One celeb championing the comfy look? Avril Lavigne. She’s been a fan of leggings for years (more on that in a minute), and she’s designing her own pair for Pins to Kill this fall.
The singer teamed up with the customizable online brand for a limited edition skull-print pair that will go on sale November 1 and be available for only four weeks.
Being a seasoned designer (she launched her own clothing line, Abbey Dawn, in 2008) she was excited to collaborate with another brand. “I love the Pins to Kill line and their enthusiasm for my vision,” Lavigne said in a press release. “I am excited to partner with P2K and can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

After her skater boi phase of baggy pants and ties worn with tight T-shirts in the early aughts, she almost exclusively sported leggings. And she has such a well-thought out legging-ensemble formula, they can serve as plenty of outfit inspo for your skull-printed pair.
1. The first style tip: wear leggings with your comfiest hooded sweatshirts and your highest heels.
2. When you’re sick of squeezing into your black skinny jeans, that’s where a black pair of leggings with a long blazer comes in handy for a chic (and comfy) outfit.
3. And finally, you can recreate one of her performance outfits by wearing them with a cupcake-printed tutu to really balance out the good-girl-meets-tough-girl vibe.
How are you going to style your skull-print pair?
