Ashley Graham Twerks on a Yacht to Promote Lingerie Line, Because Why Not?
When you model as many bikinis and lingerie as Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover star and lingerie designer Ashley Graham does, it’s understandable that one could find inspiration to show off a new look in all sorts of places. Like a yacht. While dancing. In underwear.
And that’s just what she did.
In a new, sexy video she posted to Instagram, she twerks and dances to Jennifer Lopez’s “I Luh Ya Papi” with fashion stylist Cary Tauben. But, of course, this is all for a reason! She explains in her caption that her black bra and undies are part of the Dreamer collection for her Addition Elle lingerie line.
She first debuted the line at New York Fashion Week in September, telling PeopleStyle at the time, “I believe that what I’m doing, and what other plus-size models of my generation are doing, is continuing to open that door for the next plus-size model to come in and to not be labeled as a plus-size girl, for her not to be judged by the number that’s inside of her pants, for her to be able to be on the cover of American Vogue and it not have the whole article be about, ‘Are you fat and happy?'”
She also included the hashtag #beautybeyondsize in the caption, which is a phrase she uses often on social media. “The idea of Beauty Beyond Size is something that’s really important to me because it created an element and a whole world for women who normally wouldn’t post photos of themselves in bikinis in lingerie and in dresses,” she told PeopleStyle. “I just wanted to create a tribe and a safe place for women to go and be themselves. So beauty beyond size is for anybody who wants to show themselves off. It doesn’t matter what size you are.”
