Lifestyle Style Ariana Grande Is Having A Love Affair with Her Ponytail and Couldn't Care Less What You Think The singer made it clear the style is here to stay By Emily Kirkpatrick Updated on December 1, 2020 02:58 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic The pint-sized My Little Pony incarnate otherwise known as Ariana Grande and her mile-long ponytail are a celestial match. It’s a winning combination that shall never be put asunder, so well-suited that she once cut a hole into a baseball hat just so her high pony could truly thrive. In fact, at this point in her career, the sight of Grande without her signature hairstyle is even more severe than the neck strain she must incur from carrying that many pounds of hair around on top of her head every day. And in the pop star’s latest interview, she reconfirmed her unwavering devotion to her ride or die style, making it clear she’s truly found her follicular soulmate. In an interview with Byrdie, the singer opened up about the greatest love of her life–her hair. (And no, you’re not imagining things — she’s been defending her love for years.) When asked about her trademark aesthetic, Ariana gushed, “I feel like there’s a thousand different ways to do a ponytail. A million!…It brings me so much joy, honestly. Every time I put my hair up, it’s like a surprise. Like, I forget how much I love it, and then I tie it back and I’m like, ‘I love this look! Ooh, girl!’ Every time I tie it up is like the first time. It’s like true love.” RELATED PHOTOS: Ariana Grande’s Most Badass Feminist Statements In fact, it seems like the only thing that might even come close to rivaling Grande’s passion for her own mane is her eyelash extensions, she tells the website, “I love lashes! I feel like I could be completely naked but have lashes, and I’d be fine. Like, I’ll forget! Just walk out naked and completely forget.” As for all the beauty haters out there, Ariana has some choice words for them as well, “S–t, you don’t like my ponytail? I’m gonna have it two times bigger tomorrow, and higher, tighter, more hair in there too! S–t, I’ll crimp it! You ain’t seen a crimp like this in 20 years!” Lesson learned, much like The Hulk, don’t make Ariana and her pony angry. They start crimping when they’re angry.
