While celebrities always manage to look effortlessly gorgeous as they make their way down the red carpet, most of us know there’s a whole team and days, if not months, that go into those ten seconds of flawless glam. And no person is more integral to the success of that moment than stylists, the unsung heroes of Hollywood. Well, at least until now since
The Hollywood Reporter
has just shown a major spotlight on the industry’s brightest stars, in their new issue dedicated to “The 25 Most Powerful Stylists in Hollywood.”

And kicking off that list is none other than Amy Schumer‘s Trainwreck costumer-turned-stylist, Leesa Evans, at number 25, who is single-handedly responsible for totally transforming the comedian’s gown game in 2015 and teaching her how to dress her body and feel good about it.

In the clip above, Schumer and Evans discuss a few of the style secrets they’ve picked up over the course of the last year all while wearing matching red ensembles. While it’s predominately just Amy delivering hilarious, out of context, one-liners about her body, we can’t help but try and read into them to glean some of her wardrobe tips and tricks. For example, we’re going to take Amy saying, “I’m really proud of the area right at the very top of my butt crack,” to mean we should all break out our early aughts low-rise jeans again and reinvest in some chic whale tail thongs. And “if you’ve got it, flaunt it,” should obviously already be every woman’s dressing M.O. (We know Kim K has already been following that one for years.)

And People caught up with another big name on this list at THR x Jimmy Choo’s The Most Powerful Stylists in Hollywood Dinner, Lady Gaga‘s best friend, stylist, fashion designer, and number 13 on the list, Brandon Maxwell. If you don’t know Maxwell by name, you certainly know his work by site, particularly that black off-the-shoulder dress Lady Gaga wore to the Golden Globes and the daring white pantsuit with a full skirt and train she wore to this year’s Oscars. The stylist confessed, “This was my dream to do this my whole life, so to be recognized by The Hollywood Reporter with this wonderful group of people is amazing. I just started the second season of my collection recently and the people that are on this list have really been the people that supported me so much, so I’m really happy to be in this group again.”

And of course, working with one of the biggest pop stars in the world, “there’s never a dull moment,” considering, “at 9 a.m. it could be brown hair and punk rock and then at 10 p.m. it can be blonde and glamour … I’m a busy body and like to go from one thing to the other and she’s very much like that, as well, so it’s perfect for me.” But as to Gaga’s upcoming nuptials and any plans the two may be hatching for that big day, mum is still very much the word. As Maxwell told us, “Oh, I don’t know about that. You’ll have to ask her. We’re not there yet.” We’re sure whatever they end up deciding on it will be even more jaw-dropping than anything we’ve seen thus far.

Topping the list was Kate Young, and understandably so considering she counts actresses such as Michelle Williams, Dakota Johnson, Natalie Portman, and the breakout style star of this season, Selena Gomez, amongst her A-list roster of clients, all of whom regularly grace best dressed lists and magazine covers.

Coming in hot on her heels, however, is stylist Cristina Ehrlich at number two on the list. Ehrlich is the woman behind all those amazing style moments from Penelope Cruz, Tina Fey, Uzo Aduba, and of course, red carpet newcomer but instant It-girl favorite, Brie Larson. The stylist has helped Larson find her own personal sense of style, clothing her in a number of gorgeous gowns from designers like Chanel, Celine, and Jason Wu, but both have an extra special place in their hearts for that Golden Globes moment where Brie wore a gold-beaded Calvin Klein cut-out sheath dress, which the actress told the magazine, “was the first time I’ve ever cried over a garment.” But this dynamic duo is just getting started, as Ehrlich told THR, “There are still so many looks we want to try. We’re just getting warmed up.”
