2015 is going to be a busy year for Amanda Peet. She just welcomed her third son (a boy Henry!), she’ll be supporting husband David Benioff (the co-creator of Game of Thrones) at the Golden Globes and she has a new show, Togetherness. But the actress plays the opposite of a busy mom of three in the HBO series, created by the Jay and Mark Duplass — the role involves her taking off her clothing a lot.

“The experience was so great and the Duplass brothers are so great to work for. It was really, really amazing,” she shared at the L.A. premiere. “My character is sort of a desperate, slutty, pushy woman who’s pushing 40.”
Peet, who selected a Marc Jacobs dress and Forget Me Not jacket for Tuesday’s event, is no a stranger to stripping down onscreen, but as she gets older she feels the experience has changed.
“It’s different than doing nudity when you’re younger and stuff,” she explained. “Just because I wish I looked better, but it was really just a joy honestly. They made me want to work really hard and I loved it.”
So what’s the best way to prep for a nude scene? According to Pete, you have to just wing it. “It’s sort of like, ‘You swallow your pride you vain idiot,'” she quipped.
