When Lacy Faddoul and Marcus Grodd fell in love, and got engaged, last summer on Bachelor in Paradise, it was quite the whirlwind courtship. But when it came to picking the perfect wedding bands, the couple took their time.

“They wanted the bands to be really special, and we sat together and tried on many different rings and worked hard to pick something perfect,” says celebrity jeweler Neil Lane, who also designed Faddoul’s princess-cut, 3.50-carat diamond engagement ring.

“Marcus wanted a strong band but also something cool and with a fashion sense to it,” Lane adds. “Lacy knew she she wanted something classical that really sparkled.”

The end-result was two gorgeous, custom bands for the reality duo, both 27 — his in platinum and yellow gold and hers a platinum and 2-carat diamond band surrounded by 130 round brilliant diamonds.

“Everywhere you look there are diamonds — on three sides — and her engagement ring and wedding band complement each other beautifully,” says Lane, a longtime fixture on ABC’s hit dating franchises. “They loved them, and they clearly love each other!”

As Grodd told PEOPLE earlier this year, “(We) fall in love more every day … We’re just really happy being able to be close to each other.” And safe to say those rings certainly don’t hurt.
