All the Afterparty Dresses, from Pretty to Plunging
It seems goal for the weekend was to push her style limits, because she wore another daring-for-her dress to the Vanity Fair party.
Even though our Style and Beauty Director called dibs on this KaufmanFranco dress ages ago, the beats her to it at the Vanity Fair bash (but she looks so good we’ll let it slide).
The once again changed from full and fancy Dior for the main event to sleek and sparkly (Tom Ford) for the Vanity Fair afterparty, but she kept one thing consistent: the jaw-dropping Neil Lane diamonds.
Diane continues to take style risks the rest of us could never pull off, though in the case of this floaty micro-mini Valentino Couture number with its lacy overlay at Vanity Fair, we’re not totally convinced we’re missing out.
We’re hoping (in a surprisingly subdued glittering black Julien Macdonald column and ruby jewels, tips and lips) left the Vanity Fair with a BFF song about Jennifer Lawrence à la “22,” or a heartbreaking ballad about Jonah Hill.
Also a prime candidate for a cameo appearance in Taylor’s upcoming “VF BFFs” chart-topping hit, makes a gam – sorry, glam – entrance in a majorly leg-baring gold Emilio Pucci gown.
told us her ivory Oscars gown was very “Frozen ice princess,” which makes this sizzling hot plunging red Zuhair Murad number and matching Swarovski clutch the polar opposite.
Another star who couldn’t resist the chance to wear a fresh gown for the Vanity Fair afterparty. The kept her sophisticated French twist, but changed into a one-shoulder Carolina Herrera dress and metallic danglers.
Paula’s going through a rough time right now, so we’re just going to state some facts about her Vanity Fair dress rather than make any judgments. It’s pale blue, has tiered ruffles and illusion netting, and also beads.
Her elegant blue Prada was for work, but Lupita changes into a fringed mint dress from Prada’s kid sister line Miu Miu for play. She keeps that Fred Leighton diamond headband though – how could she not?
was “in a red mood” (and apparently a sexy mood, too). She skipped the go-to blacks and creams and went for a surprisingly bright and full-skirted gown at the Elton John party. (Wonder if neutral-loving gave his sign-off from Paris.)
Some women might put on a belted lipstick-red Alexander McQueen dress and seven different arm cuffs and look like they tried a little too hard. Sienna, on the other hand, looks like she woke up like this and just casually stopped by the Vanity Fair party.
If the Little Mermaid’s evil doppelgänger existed and attended Oscars parties, we imagine her ensemble would be something like at the Elton John event: dark red hair, slinky mermaid-hem plunging black dress and a major pendant to keep Ariel’s voice trapped inside.
We see you flaunting that glam open-back Emilia Wickstead dress, Allison, but what we really want to talk about is the brand-new engagement ring you’re sporting at the Vanity Fair bash.
Should the New Girl star ever wants to shed her twee reputation, she may want to stop stepping out in darling dresses like this ruffly, polka-dot and floral number, worn with her signature bangs and berry lips to the Vanity Fair party.
The theme of the Oscars was heroes, and between the superhero-esque bodice of her black gown and the heroic effort she’s making to not wince at the boob squishing going on, clearly made an appropriate choice for the Elton John AIDS Foundation viewing party.
From the waist down, Anna’s Alexander McQueen design is understated and classic, but the top half of her look at Elton John’s party (multicolored, bedazzled, cutout – and that cateye!) is anything but basic.
The actress commissioned another custom piece from Mindy Project designer Salvador Perez, then iced it with diamonds and added a hot-pink lip for the Vanity Fair bash.
After opting for angelic white on the red carpet, the TV personality takes a walk on the dark side in a full-skirted Romona Keveza tea-length dress and Aldo sandals, worn to the Elton John party.
Also sharing in Kim’s red moment is , whose formfitting crimson velvet gown is 100% Kardashian (as are the cascading ombré waves and wine lip, worn at the Elton John bash).
