Good things come in small packages — especially when they have to do with fashion and ice cream. On Wednesday, Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet and Magnum Ice Cream announced a partnership, launching the company’s mini treats with a new miniskirt from Bendet. The garment will appear in the designer’s spring 2013 fashion show in the fall.

“When they approached us about doing the collaboration with them, I thought it was just adorable,” Bendet told PEOPLE during Wednesday’s event in New York. “I love all things mini, being a little person myself!”

Bendet — who often has ice cream and other sweets at her shows — will create the skirt, called the “Manhattan Mini,” over the summer. “It’ll be something really sexy,” she said. “And I feel like it’ll have to be decadent, because their ice cream is so decadent.”

Magnum, which launched in the U.S. last year, has done a good job of aligning itself with the fashion industry — in addition to helping sponsor Bendet’s shows, the brand created a luxe marketing campaign in 2011 directed by Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld and starring Rachel Bilson.

So will this partnership be quite as fancy? “We’re all about the sexy flirtatious decadence,” Bendet said. “So it’s a perfect combination.”
