The couple tied the knot in a secret ceremony on June 13 in Paradise Valley, Arizona, PEOPLE confirms after obtaining a copy of their record of marriage. However, they held another ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Saturday, Nicole’s wedding dress designer’s rep confirmed in a press statement. The June ceremony was officiated by agent and close friend Peter Carlisle, who often posts photos of Phelps, Johnson and their 6-month-old baby boy, Boomer Phelps, to his Instagram account. TMZ was the first to report the news. Four days after news of his secret wedding broke, Phelps and Johnson — now going by Nicole Phelps — shared stunning photos of their second, beachside wedding in Mexico over the weekend. Nicole wore a custom Julie Vino for the event. During the Rio Olympics in August, Phelps told PEOPLE that the couple had a date set for a wedding — but it seems they had already been married for more than two months at the time of the Aug. 23 interview. “I really can’t wait to get married. It will be a small destination wedding later this year. It’s the next big milestone I’m looking forward to,” he said. Nicole, who has now changed her Instagram name to “Mrs. Nicole Phelps,” posted a casual-looking photo on the same day of the June nuptials with the caption, “Such a memorable night with my liil fambam. boomer obviously didn’t want to hold still.” WATCH: Michael Phelps and Nicole Johnson Tied the Knot in a Secret Ceremony This Past June Phelps popped the question to Johnson in February of 2015, and in May they welcomed baby Boomer. Nicole and Boomer memorably attended the Rio Olympics (where the infant wore adorable outfits!) and cheered on Phelps as he picked up a record-breaking 23rd gold medal. Congrats to the happy couple!
