Anger Management star Noureen DeWulf is in Sochi for the Winter Olympics. As she cheers on her husband, Team USA hockey goalie Ryan Miller, Noureen is blogging for PEOPLE. You can also follow her on Twitter and Instagram.

It’s beautiful in Sochi. The weather is above 40 degrees. And my “Beijing-themed” hotel has plenty of hot water, which seems safe (results still pending).

I should thank Charlie Sheen my costar on Anger Management for letting me preshoot my scenes last week so I could come here and support my husband, Ryan.

It feels safe and the people seem very kind (though a little something got lost in the translation at dinner). My hotel room has two adorable twin beds, which I’ve put together to make a “full.” There is also a tent set up for the families of the NHL players where we can use wifi and hang out together.

Last night right before midnight, I heard several large booms and I was really scared until I realized it was fireworks … even so, I still didn’t go onto my balcony to look. My hotel finished construction just yesterday so I wasn’t sure how safe it would be to stand so high up outside!

Later I plan on getting an America-themed manicure when I go to the Olympic park and hopefully I can get a ticket to see some figure skating. More on that soon …!
