Yeezy footwear just got a lot more expensive for NFL athlete DeAndre Hopkins.

The Houston Texans wide receiver announced Thursday he was fined $6,000 for sporting his Turtle Dove Yeezy cleats in a Week 1 victory against the Chicago Bears.

The Yeezy 350 Boosts, which were gifted to the athlete by Kanye West and Adidas, went on sale to the general public on Thursday and sold out immediately at $250 a pair.

But apparently the stylish kicks don’t comply with the NFL’s strict uniform rules.

Hopkins told reporters he’ll wear his cleats in games again “only if Kanye wants to pay the fine.”

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins also wore Yeezy shoes in Week 1, according to the Houston Chronicle. No word yet on whether they were also fined.
