Lamar Odom had some thoughtful words for Kobe Bryant on Wednesday night as the basketball superstar took the floor for his last game.

“Bean, what’s up. It’s your little brother LO. I just want to tell you I love you. You had a great career,” Odom said in a video, which aired in the Staples Center prior to the game. “I’m proud to say I was right with you, Kobe Bean.”

Odom attended the game with Kanye West, and the pair sat one row back from courtside, just behind West’s close friend Jay-Z.

The former basketball player shared seven seasons with Bryant, when he played for the Lakers from 2004 to 2011 before being traded to Dallas.

Odom wasn’t the only blast from the past to make an appearance in the tribute video. Various other former teammates and ball players – including Shaquille O’Neal, Pau Gasol, Stephy Curry and Lebron James – had kind words for Bryant.

The Black Mamba announced his retirement in November with an emotional ode to the game, shared on the Player’s Tribune.

On the night of his final game, athletes, actresses and even the president took to social media, praising the basketball player on his legendary career.
