Powerful Kobe & Gianna Bryant Fan Art Created to Honor Their Legacies
The late basketball icon and his 13-year-old daughter died in a helicopter crash on Jan. 26, 2020
Vanessa Bryant posted a photo of her eldest daughter Natalia posing with a mural honoring her late father and younger sister Gianna as she headed to her winter formal.
“❤️ my babies. Natalia. #winterformal,” the mom of four captioned the photo, which featured a smiling Natalia, who was dressed in a blue and white polka dot dress.
“She’s beautiful and so is that mural. 😍😍,” one fan commented.
Another added, “This warms my heart and at the same time saddens it. Good to see you girls pushing through.”
The tattoo features Bryant and Gianna’s jersey numbers, 2 and 24, surrounded by a black mamba in the shape of an infinity symbol.
In her caption, Washington thanked the tattoo artist Peter Barrios for the design.

Jennifer Lopez also personalized her nails to honor the duo, tweeting a photo and writing, "24 & 2," in honor of their basketball jersey numbers.
"I wanted to draw something that honored Gianna's life as much as Kobe's the best way I could," designer and illustrator Reina Koyano wrote of her viral "Mambacita" creation that Vanessa Bryant posted on her Instagram.
"So I drew Gianna with the brightest smile, wearing her father's jersey, and wrapped her in a purple jacket, inspired from Kobe's Championship jacket from his 2nd championship, and the shoes - Kobe 4 'Prelude' - from his 4th championship, as if he was holding her close."

Designer Skylar Evans added a quote from the beloved athlete alongside her beautiful art that says, “If you don’t believe in yourself, no one will do it for you."
The Maltese artist, under the name of @unorthodoxsketches on Instagram, quoted the late star alongside this piece, writing, “The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do.”
Then, the artist continued the caption, adding, "Kobe was always an incredible inspiration. His mamba mentality, his fire, his dedication and love for the game. I still remember looking at inspirational videos of his before important games."
