(She also donned a favorite blazer). The royal trio have been nearly inseparable while attending the sporting event in Glasgow, but Tuesday morning, Kate ventured out on her own to do some charity work before meeting up with Prince William and Prince Harry. Kate attended a Sports Aid charity event by herself in the morning, a colder and more blustery start than previous days, so she paired a navy blazer with a fitted blue dress for the event. Part of the Duchess of Cambridge’s accessible style is her tendency to recycle much-loved pieces, and the Smythe blazer with gold buttons is turning out to be a favorite. Kate then met up with William and Harry at Hampden Park stadium to watch “athletics,” known as track and field in the U.S. They then headed to the Athlete’s Village, where they met with children from UNICEF, an organization the royal family supports, and Kate played a South African game called Three Tins. Back then, Harry made a false start and Bolt jogged behind him, and the two joked about a rematch. “He’s cool, very down to earth,” Bolt said of Harry that year. “When you meet dignitaries you think it will be difficult, but he just wanted to laugh – it was an honor and a pleasure to meet him.” • Reporting by HELEN I.
