Look out Kardashian clan, there’s a new ‘K’ family in town!

Olympian Kassidy Cook is going for gold in the 3-meter springboard diving event at the Rio Games in August – and she’s competing with the steadfast support of her five siblings Kara, Kylie, Kelsey, Kevin and Kendall.

“My brother and sisters are my best friends,” Cook, 21, tells PEOPLE. “They’re the people I go to and I talk to them every single day! Every single one of them. We are each other’s biggest fans, we’re a super close-knit, loud, rambunctious family.”

She adds, “And we’re pretty crazy too!”

Cook, a Woodlands, Texas, native and Stanford University student-athlete, says almost her entire family, including parents Laura and Kevin, will be in Rio to cheer her on.

“I want to share this experience with them because I know I’ve made a lot of sacrifices but I feel like sometimes the athletes forget that their families have made so many sacrifices as well,” explains Cook. “It’s an experience I want them to feel is special for them as well.”

Cook missed making the 2012 Olympic team by .42 points and went on to suffer three life-altering injuries in four years – so she sees Rio as the ultimate comeback opportunity.

“When I first came back [after getting injured], I had very little confidence,” she says. “I didn’t know if I was going to be as good as I was before.”

But with encouragement and support from her siblings, Cook overcame her self-doubt – and qualified for the 2016 Olympic team at the U.S.A. diving trials in June.

“When they walked in during the warm-up, they started cheering me on like ‘Yeah Kassidy!’ ” Cook say with a laugh. “And they had all these signs and people were laughing and were like ‘Are those your sisters?’ And I was like ‘Yup!’ ”

“I’m definitely expecting a loud and cheerful cheering section in Rio!”
