Is the intricate wizarding sport of Quidditch easier to follow than some of the Rio Olympic events? Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling thinks so.

While watching the Olympic omnium points race on Monday, Rowling apparently had some trouble grasping the scoring system.

She tweeted, “Don’t you DARE tell me Quidditch is hard to understand #pointsrace #cycling #olympics.”

With 12,000 retweets and 34,000 likes, it’s obvious that the beloved author’s tweet struck a chord with fans who were also flummoxed by the points system.

But the tweet also gave fans an opportunity to petition for the instatement of Quidditch as an Olympic sport.

Even kids noticed the lack of brooms in the Rio games.

There’s no denying the excitement of the Olympics, but true Potterheads know that the magical game of Quidditch soars to levels of awesomeness that simply can’t be beat by any other sport.
