Danica Patrick Smooches NASCAR Boyfriend After Win: 'It Was a Very Good Day'
“She supports me through anything I need to do,” Stenhouse Jr. said after the race
Danica Patrick is so proud of her boyfriend, Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
The powerhouse female driver rewarded her boo with a giant kiss after he won his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series in 158 races.
“She supports me through anything I need to do,” Stenhouse Jr. said after the race, according to USA Today Sports. “Whether it’s we need to fly somewhere a little bit later because I need to spend a little more time with the guys at the shop or want to go to dirt races or things like that, she’s been so supportive and knows how hard that I’ve worked.”
“And to have her there was really awesome.”
Patrick, who didn’t actually get to see Stenhouse Jr. cross the finish line, was super excited about the win.

“At the beginning of the race when he was leading, I was thinking he was either gonna stay in the lead or something bad might happen,” Patrick said, according to USA Today Sports. “But I got the feeling that it was just one of those days where he was gonna make it happen.”
“It was a very good day,” added Patrick.

However, Patrick’s excitement was nothing compared to Stenhouse Jr.’s dad after his son took the checkered flag at Talladega Superspeedway.
According to Russell Branham, the public relations director at Talladega Speedway, the racer’s father attempted to climb a fence to congratulate his son.
“Everything that I know about racing I learned from him,” said Stenhouse after the race. “And I’m glad that he was able to be here in Victory Lane.”
