Marlana VanHoose’s rousing rendition of the National Anthem during Game 6 of Tuesday night’s NBA Finals was a vocal and emotional slam-dunk.

Dressed in a Cavs jersey, the 19-year-old Kentucky native – who is blind and has cerebral palsy – wowed a national audience with her powerful performance in Cleveland.

VanHoose was born with Cytomeglo virus (CMV), and when she was only a few weeks old it was discovered that she was blind, according to her personal website. She was not expected to live past her first birthday.

But after she turned one year old, her body healed from the virus, and now she shares her talents in performances across the country.

Following VanHoose’s stirring rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner, Golden State defeated Cleveland 105-97 to capture the NBA Championship, 4 games to 2.
