Midcentury Modern Kite Wall Clock, Black and White

The Kite Clock is one of the original designer's more interesting pieces. It was designed with only 10 raised hour markers. Using color it represents both the dark and light sides of the industrial modern movement. The missing 6 and 12 hour positions are defined by the meeting in the middle of the light and dark. The hour markerson the dark side represent the presence of light and the hour signs on the light side represent the presence of darkness. Nearly Ying yang,e presence of light and the hour signs on the light side represent the presence of darkness. Nearly Ying yang, the design reflects perfect balance. The hour hands are decidedly red literally popping in contract against the black/white background defining the Atomic art age in which the piece was created. -Size: 21" wide x 1 " tall -Ivory White painted aluminum mechanical clock housing -Architecturally correct metal body -Block style hour & minute hands black painted steel fabricated to original proportion -Red seconds hand features the vintage pop triangle head of the original design -Consistent and accurate Quartz Movement Mechanism -Solid copper internal components -Requires 1 AA battery for operation (included)About Our images: Kardiel does not use generic nor stock furniture images.
