Talk about precious cargo!

As Prince William and Kate and Prince George begin their April tour of New Zealand and Australia, they were photographed in the Sydney, Australia, terminal before catching a connecting flight to Wellington, New Zealand.

Their route took them from London’s Heathrow Airport, aboard a Qantas flight before switching to a New Zealand Air Force plane bound for Wellington. Their transfer took place Monday morning local time (late afternoon in New York).

In the first photos that circulated on Twitter, the royal baby, born July 22 of last year, was being carried by the Duchess.

The mini jet-setter, whose chubby cheeks and tiny hands were on display (once again), is set to meet other babies on his first royal engagement.

His dad, meanwhile, was photographed carrying what looked like a backpack in the shape of a kangaroo doll.

The historic trip includes visits to 13 towns and cities and 45 separate engagements.
