Now that’s a royal exhibition!

It won’t be too long before Made In Chelsea reality star Spencer Matthews becomes a relative of Princess Kate and Prince William.

But that doesn’t mean the future brother-in-law of Kate’s sister Pippa Middleton is playing it safe.

On Friday, Matthews, 27, modeled a pair of “nude” boxers in a London shop window alongside topless female models in a stunt for online fashion retailer Lyst, which called his look “The Emperor’s New Clothes” in a tweet.

The eye-popping event, which was timed to the start of London Fashion Week, allowed passers-by to dress Matthews in virtual clothes by hooking up their cell phones and tablets to augmented reality technology.

Of course, the “human mannequin” moment is hardly the first outrageous stunt Matthews has pulled. Since he shot to fame in 2011, the reality star – who left Made In Chelsea last year – has publicly battled steroid addiction and revealed the most intimate details of his sex life in a 2014 tell-all memoir, Confessions of a Chelsea Boy.

By contrast, his elder brother, financier James Spencer, 40, prefers to live outside the spotlight. He proposed to Middleton, 32, amid the beauty of England’s Lake District in July.

A spokesperson for William and Kate said at the time: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are absolutely delighted with the news.”

Whether they’re quite so happy seeing Mathews nearly naked on the streets of London is likely to remain a closely guarded royal secret.
