The Swedish royals left their traditional hats at home for summer vacation!

The glamorous royal family posed this week for their annual summer portrait marking the start of their vacation on Öland, one of the country’s largest Baltic coastal islands, 268 miles south of Stockholm.

The new picture features the family’s five youngest members, who surprised onlookers with their good behavior – something that can’t always be relied on when cameras are around.

Princess Victoria‘s daughter Princess Estelle, 4, set an example as the second-in-line to the throne perched prettily on a white garden seat between her grandparents, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.

Her 2-year-old cousin Princess Leonore stayed close to her mom Princess Madeleine, while Leonore’s little brother Prince Nicolas, who celebrated his first birthday on June 15, was snuggled by his father Chris O’Neill, the 42-year-old London based banker.

The family’s newest arrivals, Prince Oscar, recently christened in the Royal Chapel, and 3-month-old Prince Alexander, who’ll be baptized at the same venue on September 9, both starred in the photo call too.

Earlier this week Prince Carl Philip and his wife Princess Sofia took Prince Alexander to watch his first soccer game near the Swedish city of Gothenburg.

Project Playground, the charity that helps South African children supported by Princess Sofia, fielded a team to play a side from Paris also competing in the Gothia Cup there.

According to the Swedish Journal Svenskdam onlookers reported that the little prince was in great spirits.
