During their first day, William and Kate not only met with the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins and his wife Sabina, but the royal parents were also warmly greeted by the president’s Bernese Mountain dog Brod, which means pride in Gaelic.
Brod is no stranger to royal company. Both Brod and the president’s dog Sioda — who missed the couple’s visit due to a paw injury — met William’s brother Prince Harry and sister-in-law Meghan Markle during their visit to Ireland as newlyweds in July 2018.

Kate stunned in a vintage magenta dress by Oscar de la Renta that had a total ’80s vibe with black polka dots and a ruffled collar (like Princess Diana!) to conclude the second day of her and Prince William's Ireland tour with a reception in Dublin held in their honor.
She paired the look with her signature black clutch, black heels and a pair of gold hoop earrings. Kate, who typically wears her hair down around her shoulders in her signature bouncy blowout, had her hair pulled back in a chic ponytail.
