Queen Elizabeth made a very special outfit choice after the arrival of her great-granddaughter on Saturday morning.

The 89-year-old monarch was in head-to-toe pink at The Royal Lancers amalgamation parade at Richmond Castle in North Yorkshire this afternoon.

And the queen isn’t the only one in the family who is excited about the arrival of a little princess.

On Thursday, Prince Charles, 66, let slip his hopes that his daughter-in-law’s second child would be a girl.

“We’re hoping for a granddaughter!” he told a 100-year-old military veteran at Windsor Castle, where Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were also on hand to present new Colors to the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards.

A family friend also revealed Kate’s hopes for a little girl.

The big question now is what Prince William, 32, and Princess Kate, 33, will name the newest royal.

The queen, who this year will pass Queen Victoria’s record-breaking 63-year reign, is among the most popular names being backed by royal fans.
