Organic Sprout's vegan hair products were purchased by the Middletons before George's hospital visit, PEOPLE confirms
Toddlers are notoriously terrible at keeping their hair (or, really, anything at all) perfectly in place.
So when 21-month-old Prince George stepped out to meet his new sister for the first time on May 2, his neatly parted honey-blond hair was nearly as jaw-dropping as his mum Princess Kate‘s magical post-delivery transformation.
George’s smart side-part was the result of some well-chosen baby hair products from U.S.-based Original Sprout Baby Hair Care, PEOPLE confirms exclusively in this week’s cover story.
While the haircare brand won’t divulge details, a spokesperson points to the line’s $16 Natural Hair Gel as the secret styling weapon to tame George’s natural flyaway waves.
“It’s all vegan, free from nasties,” the rep tells PEOPLE. “And our gel doesn’t make the hair rigid, crispy or crunchy – it’s very light.”
The products were purchased by a member of the Middleton family from London’s Trotters. The traditional children’s wear store (which also boasts a kids-only hair salon) is a favorite of both Kate and her sister Pippa, who often frequent the Kings Road and Kensington branches.
With no added fragrance – although it has a tropical scent due to the natural essential oils of organic rosemary and cucumber extract – the gel is suitable for babies, children and adults too.
As for the royal big brother’s adorable hospital visit look, the hair brand’s spokesperson says: “It was a classic 1950s style that all the guys are doing at the moment. He looked very styled and all spruced him up to see his little sister!”
