Proud parents Queen Rania and King Abdullah of Jordan were on hand to see their son Prince Hussein graduate from college over the weekend.

The prince, 21, received his diploma from Georgetown University, where he earned a degree in international history.

A picture was posted on the royals’ social media, with Rania, 45, saying, “A very special day when your first born is graduating from university! What a wonderful journey you have taken us on, Hussein.”

When he turned 21 last June, Rania told PEOPLE of the joy her eldest child brings to the family and his “fresh take on things – it keeps me and his father young!”

She added, “When he’s home from college, there’s just a whole different energy in the house.”
