Queen Letizia Steals Her Daughters' Go-to Hairstyle — but Adds Glam Jewels for Event in Madrid
The Spanish royal is as chic as ever
Queen Letizia is never short on glam — but for a Tuesday dinner in Madrid, she looked to her 11- and 9-year-old daughters for a little hairstyle inspiration.
On Tuesday, the always-chic royal attended a dinner in honor of the Spanish newspaper Expansión with her husband, King Felipe. Though she kept her style relatively simple in a black dress with floral detailing on the skirt, she topped off her look with an intricate braided hairstyle — taking notes from her two daughters.
Braids are a go-to style for her two young daughters, 11-year-old Leonor, Princess of Asturias and 9-year-old Infanta Sofia. And though the little princesses always look adorable when they’re rocking the look, their mom upped the chic factor a notch or two. For the evening, Letizia pulled her hair into an updo that showed off two braids on the right side of her head.
Her hairstyle wasn’t the only element to turn heads. She also wore a pair of stunning chandelier earrings, which appeared to be covered in diamonds and rubies.
If a fashion icon like their mother is already taking cues from Leonor and Sofia’s looks, then there’s no doubt they’ve both inherited her style sense.
