New York City may soon count not one, but two British princesses among its residents as Princess Beatrice looks set to join her sister Princess Eugenie in the Big Apple.

She is “close to confirming” a job at a private equity firm in the city, PEOPLE understands.

That would mean the 26-year-old royal would move to the same city as her younger sister, who is in her second year working at Internet auction firm Paddle8.

Bea, as friends call her, has been looking for a role stateside since completing a short finance course on the west coast in February.

Moreover, her longterm boyfriend Dave Clark, has recently taken up a position in the United States at Uber.

Details have yet to be ironed out but it could mean that Beatrice will be calling N.Y.C. home by early summer.

Mum Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, 55, also spends a lot of time in the city, working on her new project Duchess Discoveries. And all three were together in N.Y.C. for Eugenie’s birthday in March – a moment that was marked by her father Prince Andrew, 55, feting her with “Happy Birthday” in a video call surrounded by dozens of entrepreneurs at a conference in St. James’s Palace in London.

Beatrice, who is sixth in line to the throne (soon to slip to seventh once her cousin, Prince William, 32, welcomes his second child) hasn’t worked since leaving her job at Sony Europe. Her departure came after a cyber attack revealed that she earned a $30,300 salary.
