She’s never been – and he’s never visited in an official capacity.

With newlyweds Prince William and Duchess Catherine set to arrive in California on July 8 for a three-day trip, the pressure to impress is on.

The Palace has yet to reveal the couple’s itinerary, but with about two months to go before they touch down in the Golden State, it’s never too early to start planning. A schedule fit for royalty is in order, so tell us: What must-dos should make the couple’s itinerary?

Los Angeles
Their lives have already been made into a movie, so a stay in Hollywood seems natural. Besides, the Duke, 28, and Duchess, 29, likely have an A-list place to stay, if need be: the Beckhams’ residence. David and Victoria showed their support for the newlyweds at the Royal Wedding – and there’s one way William and Kate can return favor: There’s an L.A. Galaxy soccer game scheduled for July 9 – can you imagine the royal couple rooting on David Beckham?

San Francisco
The Golden Gate Bridge may be no match for Catherine’s Welsh gold wedding band, but the Bay boasts plenty of must-sees, like the Palace of Fine Arts and majestic redwoods, all befitting of royalty.

“We’d show them a grand time,” Laurie Armstrong, director of media relations for the city’s tourism bureau, told The New York Times.

And with William’s sweet tooth, perhaps the couple could make a pit stop at Ghirardelli Chocolate Company’s flagship location in Ghirardelli Square.

San Diego
Sprawled out adjacent to the Mexican border, the city caters to the couple’s taste for culture. Plus, William and Catherine, who requested wedding guests give donations instead of gifts, might take a liking to some local charities, like the Mexican American Neighbor Organization, which is dedicated to development in low-income Mexican communities, or the San Diego History Center.

And if the outdoorsy couple wants to get in touch with nature, they can cap off the trip at the famed San Diego Zoo.
