They may be one of the most photographed families in the world, but the royals still make time to pose for a few personal photos of their own!

At the end of Queen Elizabeth s epic outdoor 90th birthday party on Sunday, Prince Andrew played the role of photographer when he took out his phone and snapped a photo of about 20 members of the royal family as they waved at the monarch passing by in her Queen-mobile!

The royal family had just left their seats where they’d watched the street parade when Andrew called them together for the impromptu snap.

They were on the steps of the Queen Victoria Monument and, as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip drove by on their way back into Buckingham Palace, Prince William, Princess Kate, Prince Harry and about 17 other royals waved and smiled at the birthday girl.

Kate briefly curtsied and Andrew beckoned his sister Princess Anne to make sure she was able to join the group. Andrew’s daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and Patron’s Lunch organizer Peter Phillips also joined in for the photo op.

When they were all together, Andrew held up his phone to take the snap, and Eugenie waved at the Queen.

Queen Elizabeth II Is Covered in Chocolate?!

“It was a wonderful, normal family moment,” says Daily Mirror photographer Ian Vogler, who witnessed the scene from a vantage point at the top of the palace.

“The Duke obviously wanted his own personal record of the day,” he adds.
