The royals attend Queen Elizabeth's annual pre-Christmas lunch

December 17, 2014 06:05 PM

It was quite a royal afternoon as Princess Kate and Prince William made their way to Buckingham Palace on Wednesday.

The dashing couple arrived for Queen Elizabeth’s annual pre-Christmas lunch with Prince George and nanny Maria Teresa Borrallo in the back seat.

George, who turns 17 months on Dec. 22, was clutching a yellow book in his hand.

Prince Harry was also in attendance.

Seen only through the car window, a beaming Kate, wearing a festive red dress and chandelier earrings, was dressed up compared to her laid-back look Tuesday, when she wore a sweatshirt and jeans.

Earlier in the day, William visited the homeless charity Centrepoint in London.

Numerous other royals attended the lunch, including Prince Charles, Princess Beatrice, Peter Phillips and wife Autumn Kelly.
