Just what a soccer fan dad-to-be needs, for when his little prince or princess is old enough to kick it about the Palace backyard: a mini-football.

And that’s just what Prince William received Friday after he addressed a UEFA meeting of football’s European leaders in London.

“Football can transform boys’ and girls’ lives, instilling fitness, team discipline, aspiration and fairness,” he told the delegates.

He was also handed a regular-sized football, for those times he plays with brother Harry.

The UEFA meeting took place before the prestigious Champions League final between two German teams, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

For what it’s worth, William, who supports Aston Villa in the English Premier League and is president of the Football Association, says, “My money is on Bayern Munich, and two-nil.”
