Will Prince William and Kate have something extra to celebrate Wednesday?

Royal watchers are hoping that the couple will welcome their second child on their fourth wedding anniversary April 29.

And, as they mark the special day (did William, 32, give wife Kate, 33, flowers and fruit, the traditional gifts?) the happy campers across the road from the private Lindo wing of St. Mary’s hospital were wishing for news.

“It would be lovely to would be an extra special gift for their anniversary,” says Maria Scott, 49.

And friend John Loughrey, 60, adds, “It would be terrific – I hope it does happen today.”

In fact, when it was announced in September that Kate as pregnant, royal watchers speculated that the royal couple’s wedding anniversary might be the day their second child would be born.

But the baby seems in no rush to arrive. As Kate and William sent coffee and croissants to shivering superfans camped at the hospital, she drove Prince George from Buckingham Palace, where she’s thought to have taken him swimming.
