The Bathroom Item That Kept 11-Month-Old Prince Nicolas Quiet During the Royal Christening
The little prince found a lot of entertainment in an everyday object
There is a mantra that every parent of toddlers knows: Whatever works.
At Friday’s christening of 3-month-old Prince Oscar at Stockholm’s Royal Palace Chapel, his 11-month-old first cousin, Prince Nicolas, found entertainment in a most everyday object: an electric toothbrush.
The prince, whose mom is Sweden’s Princess Madeleine, was spotted chomping on the light-up toothbrush during the baptism of Prince Oscar, the newborn son of Madeleine’s older sister, Crown Princess Victoria.

Both sisters appear to be relaxed moms, with Madeleine previously sharing a relatable photo of her 2-year-old daughter, Princess Leonore, exploring outdoors.
Madeleine also shared some sweet family photos from her nephew’s christening, including an adorable picture of her adventurous daughter with 4-year-old Princess Estelle, Victoria’s scene-stealing daughter.
The Swedish royal family has yet another christening on the horizon: Prince Alexander, who was born April 19 to Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip (Victoria and Madeleine’s brother). That service is expected to take place in a few months.
Better pack the toothbrush!
