Prince Harry is on a mission: to collect gifts for his new niece Princess Charlotte, whom he can’t wait to meet.

Royals fans thrust cuddly toys and other presents for the newest princess at Harry, 30, as he greeted well-wishers in Sydney, Australia, on Thursday.

“I have been given a hell of a lot of cuddly toys from this morning and other things,” Harry told the media.

“I look forward to [meeting her],” he added. “I am looking forward to meeting her. She is beautiful.”

Harry, who was in his military fatigues, is finishing up his time in Australia, where he has been seconded to the military for a month, before he heads to New Zealand for an official tour on behalf of Queen Elizabeth.

As for new parents Prince William and Princess Kate, they recently left Kensington Palace for their country home, Anmer Hall, about 110 miles north, where they will spend much of the summer.

“It’s like a fancy farmhouse,” someone familiar with the house told PEOPLE. “It isn’t grandiose. But it’s a great, friendly family environment.”
