Future King in the Café! How Prince George (and His Airplane) Charmed Bucklebury Locals
The heir to the throne was enjoying an outing with grandma Carole Middleton who was looking after him for an afternoon recently
He’s a boy who loves all planes, trains and automobiles – like his favorite fire truck.
So it’s no surprise to hear that Prince George likes to ‘fly’ his red toy airplane around, making the appropriate engine noises.
He recently did just that in a local café near Bucklebury, his mother’s hometown, with grandma Carole Middleton, 60, who took him out for a slice of cake.

“He was running around the tables flying his little red airplane going ‘brrrrr’ to all the people having a cup of tea,” a customer in the café that day tells PEOPLE in the latest issue.
“It’s not every day that the future heir to the throne pops into the local café for a bit of cake!”

George is already getting into the holiday spirit, too. Along with his mom Kate and sister Princess Charlotte, he attended the royal family’s annual pre-Christmas lunch held by great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday.
And if he’s looking out for Santa Claus on his sister’s first Christmas, his parents may have a treat in store.
Last year William and Kate took him to see the man in the red coat and white beard at a a holiday celebration in Thursford, not far from their home, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk.
