Eagle-eyed royal watchers got a special treat while viewing a newly released video of Prince Charles promoting Earth Hour on Saturday: a new photo of him with his only grandchild, Prince George.

The WWF released a nearly three-minute video Friday that featured the first-in-line to the throne addressing the camera while a royally adorable portrait sat framed behind his right shoulder.

The image shows the Prince of Wales tenderly holding a baby Prince George, who looks as cute as ever in a blue jumper and white sun hat.

The royal talks about the importance of Earth Hour in the video, and urges people around the world to turn off their lights for one hour at 8:30 p.m.

“Earth Hour is exactly what it says it is: One hour for the whole world to think about this extraordinary planet that sustains us all,” the prince says in his impeccable accent.

Although he never mentions Prince George by name – or his second grandchild, due soon – he does make note of the importance of protecting the planet for future generations, and confirmed to the WWF that all non-essential lights will be dimmed at all royal residences during Earth Hour.

“Switching off the lights is a statement of intent by everyone who takes part,” he says. “Making them part of a community that recognizes that we really do only have one planet and that we have a duty to protect it, not just for ourselves, but for our children and grandchildren.”
