Up for watching a royally awkward interview?

Let’s go back to a notorious day in 1977, when Prince Charles endured the strangest encounter with an Australian TV presenter named Molly Meldrum.

Charles, then in his late 20s, was appearing on the popular show Countdown. But Meldrum, the host, couldn’t seem to get his act together – flubbing his introduction of Charles over and over, and getting increasingly agitated.

To help celebrate Countdown‘s 40th anniversary, Charles, 65, recorded the new video below, in which he comically roasts Meldrum, now 71, for his breakdown – though the new interview with Charles, displaying his sense of humor, amusingly has its hiccups, too.
