The proud dad of the groom-to-be stepped out for a day in Durham, a city in Northern England, on Thursday. Ahead of an official engagement at Durham Cathedral, he met the crowds of locals, armed with little Union Jack flags, who came to see Charles during his day out in the city. And during the walkabout, he received a very special present for Harry and Meghan.
The present came from the students at The Chorister School, an elementary school located near Durham Cathedral.
They gave Charles a heart-covered card wishing Meghan and Harry “congratulations on your engagement!” with signatures from several students, in the hopes that Charles could deliver it to the happy couple himself.

Charles accepted the card with a big smile. The royal just spent some quality time with his son yesterday at a meeting for his International Sustainability Unit to discuss the importance of preserving the world’s coral reefs, which are currently under threat.
Harry joined his dad to learn more “about the work being done to protect coral reefs from threats including climate change and pollution,” a statement from Charles’s team at Clarence House said.
