Crown Princess Victoria celebrated her 39th birthday on Thursday by letting someone else enjoy the limelight – her 4-month old son Prince Oscar.

Following the traditional 21-gun salute, and some private celebrations of the heir to the throne’s anniversary at the royal summer residence on the Baltic island of Öland, the princess and her family met with excited well-wishers.

High-spirited Princess Estelle, 4, is usually the center of attention, but her little brother gave her a run for her money in front of the cameras for mom’s special day.
