Monaco's Charlotte Casiraghi Is Enjoying Life in Rome with Her New Boyfriend: They 'Seem Very Comfortable Out of the Spotlight'
A year after her tumultuous breakup, things are "remarkably normal" in Charlotte Casiraghi's life, a source tells PEOPLE
Monaco’s celebrated “princess without a title” (who is eighth in line to Monaco’s throne and turns 30 on Wednesday) is “happy for the moment, enjoying what seems quiet stability” with Italian filmmaker Lamberto Sanfelice, 42.
The couple, who reportedly met at the 2015 wedding of Beatrice Borromeo to Charlotte’s brother Pierre, have been dating since October, and joined her mother Princess Caroline on a family skiing vacation in Zurs in January. This spring, Charlotte – whose grandmother is the late American actress-turned-Princess Grace Kelly – spent a great amount of time in Rome with Lamberto, enjoying relative anonymity in the Italian capital, according to media outlets.
Charlotte’s mother, Princess Caroline, chose not to give titles to her first three children with second husband, Italian businessman Stefano Casiraghi. It was a decision to help them enjoy a “normal” lifestyle. However her fourth child, 17-year old-daughter Alexandra, from her marriage to Prince Ernst-August, is a Princess of Hanover.
According to the current issue of French magazine Paris-Match, the young mother, who’s fluent in Italian, has quickly adapted to Roman daily life. She reportedly likes strolling in the markets and in parks, going out to dinner and spending time with Lamberto, who has introduced her to his friends. The outlet also reports Charlotte, 2-year-old son Raphael and Lamberto joined two generations of Casriaghis, including Andrea and Tatianna, their children Sasha and India, Pierre and Beatrice and younger sister Princess Alexandra of Hanover in June for a family day at the Monaco Beach Club.

The equestrian and model has been increasingly visible in the past months, venturing to New York in April for a Mont Blanc event with Hugh Jackman and again in May for the Met Gala, where she dazzled in a bright Gucci dress. She then traveled to London and hosted a seminar series she organized on Philosophy in Monaco.
She has also spent time among the horse jumping and fashion circuits this season – and while Lamberto was photographed with her in Paris during the Paris Longines Jumping in July, “the couple took pains to avoid being spotted together,” says one source.
