Meghan opted for evening wear for the Australian Geographic Society Awards, a tea-length black and white gown by Oscar de la Renta that appropriately featured bird designs.
Though they grouped together in the bodice, the bird outlines became more spread out and apparent near the illusion neckline and full skirt.
The embellishments on Meghan’s dress were made by Sarah Esmoingt, a French embellishment designer based in New York who works with Oscar de la Renta, Zac Posen and other designers.
She wore her hair in a gorgeous blowout and completed the look with her trusty Aquazzura “Deneuve” Pumps in Black in black.
The intricate gown marked a fairy tale moment for the Duchess of Sussex, who is expecting her first child.
Meghan presented the Young Conservationist of the Year award to Sophia Skarparis.
