Royal Mummy-to-Be! Meghan Markle Sports 'Mummy' Necklace as She Leaves N.Y.C. Baby Shower
The Duchess of Sussex has a new title – and she’s wearing it proudly!
Although only part of the gold necklace was visible from under her black zip-up top, eagle-eyed royal fans identified the jewelry as a piece by Jennifer Meyer. It reads eitheror “Mummy," the popular English nickname for kids to call their mother.
Staying comfortable for her flight back to London, Meghan continued her all-black, maternity-chic attire and was spotted outside of her hotel wearing a full-zip sweatshirt, leggings and Adidas sneakers.
The mom-to-be also paired the look with a black baseball cap that had “Rectify” written across the front — perhaps a gift from her friend Abigail Spencer, who once starred on the television show of the same name and was seen wearing the hat earlier in the day.
To stay extra warm in the cold weather, the royal wore a camel-color coat and also carried a large black leather bag, the $395 Le Sud weekender from Cuyana.

Meghan arrived in New York City earlier this week for the baby shower, which was attended by many of her close friends including tennis star Serena Williams, Amal Clooney, Gayle King and Toronto-based stylist Jessica Mulroney.
And Meghan’s friends didn’t hold back when it came to planning the perfect shower for the future royal mom. The party was reportedly being held in a suite at The Mark hotel, whose head chef happens to be none other than world-renowned culinary expert Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
In addition to dozens of floral arrangements, a large cotton candy machine was also pictured being wheeled into the hotel. New York City-based harpist and singer Erin Hill, who has played with Cyndi Lauper, Kanye West and Josh Groban, also arrived at the hotel with her harp in tow.
Guests are likely walking away with special gifts as well – a delivery of more than a dozen luxury carry-on suitcases by Away (which can be personalized with monograms!) arrived at hotel on Wednesday morning.
