Meghan Markle Leaves New York in Sporty Style After Whirlwind Baby Shower
And just like that, Meghan Markle is on her way!
After a busy few days in New York City, where the Duchess of Sussex celebrated the impending arrival of her first child and was showered with love by her closest friends, Meghan wrapped up the celebrations and headed to the airport on Wednesday.
Staying comfortable for her flight, Meghan, 37, continued her all-black, maternity-chic attire and was spotted outside of her hotel wearing a full-zip sweatshirt, leggings, and Adidas sneakers.
She also paired the look with a black baseball cap that had “Rectify” written across the front — perhaps a gift from her friend Abigail Spencer, who once starred on the television show of the same name and was seen wearing the hat earlier in the day.
To stay extra warm in the cold weather, the royal wore a khaki-colored coat and also carried a large black leather bag.
Meghan arrived in New York City earlier this week for the baby shower, which was attended by many of her close friends, including tennis star Serena Williams, Amal Clooney, former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, Toronto-based stylist Jessica Mulroney and Markus Anderson, a Soho House consultant.
At many of the stops on her whirlwind trip, the expectant mother showed off her maternity-chic look while sweetly cradling her baby bump.
Tuesday was a rather busy day, as Meghan was first spotted outside of New York City hotel The Mark — the place where her baby shower was being held.
The Duchess of Sussex wore dark Le Spec sunglasses and styled her hair in a classic blowout, placing a hand on her baby bump over her vintage grey coat as she headed out. She completed her look with a pair of “Nearly Skinny Maternity” jeans by Hatch Maternity as well as beige heels and a matching handbag by Carolina Herrera.
Abigail arrived at the hotel holding a gift bag decorated with green and blue flowers. The actress shared a photo of herself on Instagram making her way through an airport on Monday.
Meghan and Abigail eventually left The Mark to check out some art at the nearby Met Breuer before grabbing a bite to eat at French restaurant Café Boulud, inside the Surrey Hotel, a few blocks away. They then returned to The Mark.
Decorations believed to be for the bash, including dozens of floral arrangements, were delivered outside the The Mark on Tuesday.
Later that evening, Meghan stepped out for a fancy dinner at Ralph Lauren’s restaurant The Polo Bar with longtime pals Serena, Jessica, and Markus.
Meghan was glowing as she entered the restaurant, located in the heart of Manhattan, wearing a navy Victoria Beckham coat — the same one she wore on Christmas Day — her “Nearly Skinny Maternity” jeans by Hatch Maternity, and black Tamara Mellon boots.
The royal also carried a black Stella McCartney purse and accessorized with a black scarf to stay warm.
