Just another day at the office!
When Meghan Markle arrived at City, University of London on Thursday, fans lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the Duchess of Sussex as she made her way inside. But some keen royal watchers had the best view from their office windows.
Twitter user Cathy O’D captured the hilarious moment when her coworkers peered out their windows and hopped on their desks to watch Meghan step out from her car. “When Meghan Markle is visiting the building across the street from your office!” she captioned the photo.
And in true British form, her coworkers stand politely with their hands clasped behind their backs as they watch the former Suits star and royal mom-to-be make her way inside.
“We’d heard rumors Meghan would be visiting City University today, so we’d been keeping an eye out,” Cathy tells PEOPLE.
“Some of my colleagues went outside to watch, but I think those of us who stayed in the office (and climbed on the table!) had a better view. It added a bit of fun to a cold, grey day in London!” she adds.
Meghan was on-hand to attend an engagement in her new role as royal patron of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) in London — a royal she took over from Queen Elizabeth.
This isn’t the only meme-worthy moment Meghan has incited this week. On Wednesday, she charmed a smitten young school boy during her visit to London’s National Theatre.
The children sat on the floor gathered around Meghan. Kensington Palace shared a sweet photo of one boy with an ear-to-ear smile and his chin propped up by his hands gazing up at the royal, clearly starstruck – and perhaps a bit smitten! Meghan, with a hand placed on her growing baby bump, returns the grin.

“I never thought I’d perform in front of the royal family and meet a royal! I’ve only ever seen her on TV. I’m speechless,” one of the students, Kroni Pacolli, 10, said. “She came and shook my hand and I’m never going to wash this hand again!”
