15 Moments That Prove Birthday Girl Kate Middleton Is a Royal Super Mom
Royal mom to the rescue! When Princess Charlotte took a spill on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the Trooping the Colour flypast in June 2018, Kate Middleton swooped in. Kate bent down to chat with her visibly-shaken daughter, and then picked up the 3-year-old princess, quickly defusing the moment – and Charlotte was all smiles again in no time.
No one makes Prince Louis smile quite like mom! The little prince flashed a big toothless grin at his July 2018 christening, clearly happy to be in Kate's arms.
Kate got to tell her kids that she had a dance with Paddington Bear during a surprise appearance at the cuddly character's namesake train station in London in Oct. 2017. Kate was pregnant with Louis at time of the twirl, so it won't be a surprise if the little royal is a fan for life!
Kate also shows off her mom skills with children that aren't her own. For her first engagement back from maternity leave in Oct. 2018, Kate visited young students from St. Stephen’s School in London.
When one inquisitive little girl asked why cameras were taking photos of Kate, the royal mom had a sweet response. "They're picturing you cause you’re special!" she said without missing a beat.
Kate, Prince George and Princess Charlotte soaked up the sun while cheering on Prince William at a charity polo match in June 2018.
"Kate is a fantastic mum," an onlooker at the match told PEOPLE. "She was calm with the children." Using a British phrase for "run loose," the onlooker says, "She let them have their head."
When Kate visited Coach Core, a program that trains young people to become coaches and encourages the next generation of athletes, she showed off her tennis skills with the kids – even while wearing heeled booties!
Stairs in heels while carrying one child and holding hands with another? No problem for Kate! The royal mom made it look easy when arriving in Victoria, Canada, as part of the family's 2016 tour.
"Princess Kate came over and give him a sickbag, our little Craig," Carole Flynn, a learning mentor at Corpus Christi primary school, said. "I think he was a little bit overcome."

Kate has proved that she's not afraid to get a little dirty when it comes to playtime, including a 2015 polo match where she played with a young Prince George in the grass.
