If you thought Princess Kate‘s $11 earrings were impressive, wait until you see her $7 accessories.

When the royal took a tour of the Taj Mahal in India on Saturday, she wore a pair of blue earrings that she had picked up from a souvenir stall during her hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Bhutan on Friday, PEOPLE has confirmed.

Following her hike with husband Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge picked up a pair of dangling blue earrings for 500 rupees (or $7). Meanwhile, William picked up a small bronze tiger for 200 rupees ($3).

This isn’t the first bargain accessory that the royal has sported during her week-long tour of India and Bhutan. Last Sunday she made headlines when she wore $11 imitation gold drop earrings from Accessorize.

Earlier on Saturday, Kate also wore another accessory with a close connection to her royal visit – a necklace gifted to her by the Jetsun Pema, the Queen of Bhutan. She paired the delicate necklace with a white Alexander McQueen ensemble when she and William headed out of the country to visit the Taj Mahal.

Will and Kate’s stop at the iconic Indian monument marked their final appearance during their visit, which had them jetting to Mumbai for a star-studded Bollywood dinner and feeding baby rhinos at the Kaziranga National Park.

But many royal fans were waiting for Will and Kate to visit the Taj Mahal, where they sat at the famous “Diana bench,” named after the prince’s late mother, Princess Diana.

While there was obviously a strong link between the Taj Mahal and Diana, sources close to the couple said they were more interested in creating their own memories.

“For the Duke of Cambridge, his mother’s visit to the Taj Mahal is not a particularly strong memory at all,” a source told PEOPLE.

“He has many other memories of his mother that are much more important to him. The visit was about creating new memories for their family.”

Indeed, the couple’s tour guide told reporters after their visit that Kate had been more focused on the romantic history of the Taj Mahal, calling it a perfect place to visit ahead of their wedding anniversary.
