If you’re a lively toddler with a yearning for running around, thank your parents – and your grandma, the Queen – for making sure you have space. Lots of it.

Prince George will be dashing around his backyard – the rather enormous one at his family’s country home – on Wednesday when he marks his second birthday.

His parents Princess Kate and Prince William, both 33, and 11-week-old sister Princess Charlotte “are spending the day privately in Norfolk,” a palace source tells PEOPLE.

The family will be at their 10-bedroom Anmer Hall, on Queen Elizabeth’s Sandringham estate.

And the boy his dad calls a "little monkey" will not only be the center of attention, he’s sure to be making a big noise, too. He’s now chatting away to family and friends, a royal source confirms.

“He was heard talking at Princess Charlotte’s christening,” the royal source adds.

If the games get too noisy and boisterous, on hand to help will be nanny Maria Turrion Borrallo and new housekeeper Sadie Rice.

And with party planning expertise in the family in the form of grandmother Carole Middleton, he can expect the best ideas, some of which she detailed in her recent column for Little London magazine.

“We’ve always believed that parties do not have to be lavish,” she wrote, suggesting traditional English games like What’s the Time, Mr. Wolf? and Grandmother’s Footsteps.

The Royal Fab Four is mainly based at Anmer Hall, as William clocks in for his job as an air ambulance pilot in the area, which he successfully started last week.

And although Kate and William have a joint official engagement in Portsmouth on England’s south coast next Sunday, Kate especially is spending most of the summer concentrating on motherhood, and raising her two children.
