How Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis Are Staying Busy at Home During Quarantine
The Cambridge kids are finger painting, baking and pitching tents during the coronavirus pandemic
Looking at Old Photos
In honor of the U.K.'s Mother's Day, Kate Middleton and Prince William shared some never-before-seen photos from fall 2018 playing with their kids. In the sweet shot, Kate smiles as she gives Princess Charlotte a piggyback ride, while Prince George takes a ride on his father’s back.
Clapping for Carers
Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis and Prince George starred in a video on their parents' Instagram on March 26, joining the #ClapForOurCarers campaign to celebrate frontline workers against coronavirus.
Princess Charlotte and Prince George have been keeping up with their school lessons virtually. Kate even revealed they continued their homeschooling through the Easter holiday without telling their kids about the break: "I feel very mean!"
Cooking and Baking
Kate has been open about her kids helping in the kitchen for years, and the royal mom shared that they have continued to cook and bake during quarantine.
Kate shared that making an outdoor tent has been part of George, Charlotte and Louis' busy days at home.
"The children have got such stamina, I don’t know how," she said. "Honestly, you get to the end of the day and you write down the list of all the things that you’ve done in that day. So, you pitch a tent, take the tent down again, cook, bake. You get to the end of the day — they have had a lovely time — but it is amazing how much you can cram into one day that’s for sure."
Prince William said that Easter at their house involves plenty of treats.
"There will be a lot of chocolate being eaten here, don’t worry," he said during a video call with a school — but Kate jokingly added, "You keep eating it!"
Video Calls with Family
Like families everywhere, the Cambridge kids have been keeping in touch with loved ones virtually.
"We've been talking to all the family online. And it’s been a really good way of keeping in touch and seeing each other," William said.
Perhaps they called their great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, to wish her a happy 94th birthday on April 21!
Official portraits released for Prince Louis' 2nd birthday on April 23 showed the little royal getting creative — and messy! — while creating a handprint art project.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis gave another round of applause — this time as a complete family of five — for frontline workers on April 23. They enthusiastically clap in front of their country home, with George and Charlotte standing in the front while a smiling Kate, Louis and William applaud behind them.
